Hidden deep in a remote Hill Country canyon lies a fall color display. Each November at Lost Maples State Natural Area, bigtooth maple trees transform into a spectacular blace of red, yellow and orange hues. During the rest of the year, the park is less crowded and visitors can enjoy the park's other beautiful characteristics - steep, rugged limestone canyons, bubbling springs, plateau grasslands, wooded slopes and clear streams - at their leisure.
